Job Overview

Position Title: Facilities Maintenance Specialist

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the functionality of utilities and process equipment in accordance with established protocols, safety regulations, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizes and prioritizes maintenance tasks to ensure optimal facility operations.
  • Conducts inspections, repairs, and maintenance on existing electromechanical systems.
  • Implements electrical system installations, including conduit runs, power circuits, motors, control systems, lighting fixtures, and panels.
  • Adheres to safety guidelines, maintenance manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, and assembly diagrams.
  • Safely manages and disposes of hazardous materials following established safety protocols and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Keeps accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Complies with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintains regular attendance and may be required to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient understanding of electromechanical and electrical systems.
  • Able to identify and resolve common issues based on established operating procedures and scientific methods.
  • Experience collaborating within a team and adapting to evolving work demands.

Qualifications:

Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience that enables successful job performance.
