Position Overview:

The Procurement Sourcing Expert will work closely with the Procurement and Sourcing teams to strategically acquire goods and services for the airline sector, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions that align with corporate policies and best practices. This role involves advising business units on sourcing strategies to fulfill internal customer requirements and securing optimal agreements for the organization. Additionally, the Procurement Sourcing Expert will identify areas within business units to improve the sourcing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the sourcing lifecycle, including project evaluation, strategy formulation, supplier assessment, and contract negotiation.
  • Maintain effective communication and strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Assist in the creation, execution, and management of contracts.
  • Engage with all organizational levels and supplier networks.
  • Work alongside Procurement Buyers and the Sourcing Team to uncover and capitalize on sourcing opportunities.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of commodities, including source selection, vendor management, and asset acquisition/disposition.
  • Ensure suppliers meet or exceed quality, cost, and performance benchmarks.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Exemplify professionalism, integrity, resourcefulness, and commitment while contributing to the airline's safety culture.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; ISM certification is a plus.
  • 1 year of experience in purchasing, sourcing, or a related field required; 3 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Preferred skills include team-building and project management.
  • Experience in vendor management and performance improvement is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain robust customer/supplier relationships is preferred.
  • Analytical skills, including cost/benefit analysis, are preferred.
  • Experience in contracting and negotiation is preferred.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to drive change in a decentralized environment.
  • Ability to deliver persuasive presentations to various organizational levels.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $65,000 and $70,000 annually. Various factors, including geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate, may influence pay within this range.
