Nurse Specialist for Orthopedic Surgical and Trauma Care

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood. As a key member of our healthcare family, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our Orthopedic Surgical and Trauma Unit.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, with a focus on delivering compassionate and personalized care to patients with diverse needs. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.

About the Role
  • You will coordinate patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective interventions.
  • You will utilize your expertise in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide individualized care that addresses the unique needs of each patient.
  • You will communicate effectively with patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery and well-being.
  • You will participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and refinement of best practices in patient care.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 12 months of clinical experience as a licensed Registered Nurse in a hospital setting is required.
  • An Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • A valid Texas RN license or compact license is mandatory; employees with compact licenses must obtain Texas licensure within 60 days of hire.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
