Job Title: Speech Pathologist or Clinical Fellow

Join The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence team as a Speech Pathologist or Clinical Fellow and contribute to the well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist or Clinical Fellow to provide clinical services to children and adults with communication disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech-language pathology and experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and assess communication abilities of service recipients
  • Develop and implement individualized service plans
  • Provide direct speech services to children and adults in the Early Intervention Program, Preschool, and Adult Programs
  • Consult with other professionals and family members to ensure continuity of programs
  • Document services and maintain accurate records
  • Participate in Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) meetings, Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE), and Individual Service Plan (ISP) meetings
Requirements:
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State
  • Provisional certification as a NYS Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or NYS Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
Work Environment:

This role operates in a professional office environment and clinical and classroom settings. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality at all times.
