Wellness Screening Nurse Practitioner

Quest Diagnostics is a leading provider of worksite wellness screening and health improvement programs. Our team is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team of health and wellness professionals.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented LVN to perform biometric screenings at client sites, including finger stick blood collection, BMI, blood pressure, height/weight, and other health screening services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Biometric Screening: Perform biometric screenings at client sites, including finger stick blood collection, BMI, blood pressure, height/weight, and other health screening services.
- Health Coaching: Provide basic health coaching based on individual screening results.
- Lab Testing: Perform basic waived testing technical procedures on blood samples and complete required quality control.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service at all health screenings.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, complete, and legible records.
- Training and Development: Participate in training/retraining and continuing education programs as necessary.
- Safety and Compliance: Comply with all designated safety policies and procedures in the work area, including the use of applicable protective equipment when necessary to prevent exposure to potentially infectious agents.
- Regulatory Compliance: Understand and comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws. Adhere to quality assurance procedures and good manufacturing practices.
- HIPAA and OSHA: Maintain all HIPAA and OSHA standards while on events.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as necessary.
- Education: High School diploma/GED and/or medical license (Nurse, Phlebotomy Certificate, Medical Assistant License, C.N.A, etc.).
- Formal Medical Education: Formal medical education including current appropriate medical certification.
- Additional Certification/Licensure: Additional medical certification/licensure as required by state or regulatory requirements.
- Healthcare Experience: At least 1 year of healthcare experience in a professional healthcare setting.
- Fingerstick Experience: Completion of a fingerstick within the last 1-2 years.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with finger stick blood collection methods and manual blood pressure. Cholestech and/or Cardio Check experience preferred.
- Specimen Handling: Skills required for proper specimen and reagent handling, labeling, processing, preparation, transportation, and storage necessary.
- Work Environment: Worksite wellness screenings typically take place in a corporate/conference room type setting.
- Travel: Travel is required to screening event locations (not provided).
- Lifting and Carrying: Lift light to moderately heavy objects. The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects up to 40 pounds.
- Fine Dexterity: Fine dexterity with hands/steadiness.
- Attention to Detail: Examining/observing details.
