We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Business Growth Strategist to join our team at AMETEK. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development across our global operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Strategy:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive global strategy to achieve business objectives and drive above-market growth.
    • Manage and develop a global team to drive business growth and development.
    • Identify and monitor industry trends, market adjacencies, and M&A opportunities.
  • Customer & Market:
    • Be the voice of the customer: gather and analyze customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
    • Develop compelling business cases for identified opportunities, including market segmentation and product positioning.
    • Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to identify and prioritize new product opportunities.
  • Marketing & Sales:
    • Identify Key Targets and create methodology to utilize digital marketing capabilities as lead generators.
    • Partner with other departments to create long-term strategic plans for chosen market segments and products.
    • Analyze pricing and competitive pressures, and collaborate on winning pricing strategies.
  • Communication & Collaboration:
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
    • Facilitate training for global channels on assigned product families.
    • Collaborate on BU strategic plans and reports to senior management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, with global leadership a plus.
  • 3+ years' experience within a global manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years in a business development role for technical products.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated success and experience in the strategic leadership of marketing and business development.
  • Culturally sensitive with the ability to inspire the trust of others, and the ability to work effectively in global cross-functional teams.
  • Strong financial management skills with proven ability to develop short-term and long-term business plans that deliver acceptable ROI.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally (30% of the time).
