Underground Construction Project Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Underground Construction Supervisor to join our team at Ivy H. Smith Company, LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of employees and subcontractors in the placement and repair of underground utilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and coordinate the activities of employees and subcontractors to ensure the safe and efficient completion of underground construction projects.
- Inspect and monitor the work of employees and subcontractors to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement plans to improve productivity and efficiency in underground construction operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of underground construction activities.
- Provide training and guidance to employees and subcontractors to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in underground construction and maintenance.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Ability to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify the type and size of underground utilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications and/or other construction-related software applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
