Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Prime Healthcare. As a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring the accuracy and quality of patient results, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage laboratory staff, providing guidance and training as needed
  • Oversee the technical and fiscal management of the laboratory, including budgeting and resource allocation
  • Develop and implement quality control and quality assurance programs to ensure accurate and reliable patient results
  • Collaborate with medical staff to provide consultative services and technical support
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including CLIA and CAP
  • Assess staff competency and complete performance evaluations in a timely manner
  • Develop, maintain, and update laboratory policies and procedures
  • Recognize age-specific differences in expected results for newborns to geriatrics
  • Ensure the performance and documentation of equipment maintenance
  • Other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned by the department manager/director
Qualifications
  • ASCP certification or equivalent required
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical laboratory experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree in chemical, physical, biological science, or Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution
  • Current and valid State License if the laboratory is located in a state where required
