About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at GADSDEN CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings, as well as supervising maintenance workers and clerks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure compliance with safety and building codes.
  • Perform maintenance tasks as needed and maintain an effective work order system.
  • Supervise and evaluate offenders assigned to the maintenance department.
  • Coordinate with other facility staff and departments to determine maintenance needs.
  • Schedule pest control services and maintain preventative maintenance records.
  • Develop and ensure adherence to facility preventive maintenance plans.
  • Maintain facility in accordance with ACA standards and all federal, state, and local safety and health laws.
  • Oversee the vehicle fleet to ensure safe operational condition and maintenance schedules are followed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and five years' experience in buildings, grounds, and equipment maintenance, with three years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of Florida with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.
