About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Waffle House. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of restaurant equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, and building structures to identify and address issues promptly.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, electrical and plumbing problems, HVAC issues, and structural damage to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment breakdowns and extend the lifespan of restaurant assets.
  • Be available for emergency maintenance calls outside regular working hours to address urgent repair needs promptly.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies needed for maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, building codes, and health standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment service history.
  • Coordinate with restaurant managers and staff to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption to restaurant operations.
  • Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repair services.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in maintenance and repair work, preferably in a restaurant or similar fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform tasks that require bending and reaching.
  • Availability for on-call and emergency maintenance duties as needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
