Currently, we are seeking a driven, career-focused Computer Network Defense Real-Time Intrusion Analyst to support our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial and follow-up analyses of intrusion incidents.
  • Assess and prioritize incidents, events, and their impact on missions.
  • Document data in incident management and tracking systems.
  • Facilitate feedback regarding incidents and events to clients.
  • Oversee Customer Support Desk operations.
  • Assist in Information Assurance Operations reviews, assessments, and operational surges.
  • Correlate incidents, events, and network outages.
  • Provide support for anti-virus software, including setup and configuration troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate efforts among various Cyber Defense teams and response units.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, accompanied by 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience; or relevant certification with 10 years of experience, including 2 years with an accredited Computer Network Defense Service Provider.
  • Required Licenses/Certifications: DOD M CND Analyst or CND Incident Responder (minimum Security+CE). Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) must be obtained within 4 months of employment.
  • Familiarity with security principles, protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.), and well-known ports (DNS, SMTP, FTP, LDAP, etc.), along with tools for authentication, access control, intrusion detection, and incident handling.
  • Experience in analyzing network traffic for suspicious activities using tools like Wireshark and the Carnegie-Mellon SiLK suite.
  • Proficiency with incident/event correlation tools such as ArcSight.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or BASH.
  • Up-to-date understanding of CYBERCOM CNDSP policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Snort intrusion detection signatures.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS clearance with SSBI Investigation (or TS/SCI). Processing for TS/SCI will occur.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week; flexible shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for over 50% of the time.
  • Frequent operation of a computer and other office machinery.
  • Regular communication with colleagues, management, and clients, requiring the ability to convey accurate information.
