Currently, we are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Computer Network Defense Real-Time Intrusion Analyst to enhance our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct first-level and follow-on analysis of intrusion incidents.
  • Determine and escalate incident, event, and mission impacts effectively.
  • Enter data into incident management and tracking systems.
  • Provide feedback to customers regarding incidents and events.
  • Manage Customer Support Desk operations.
  • Assist in Information Assurance Operations reviews, assessments, exercises, and operational surges.
  • Correlate incidents, events, and network outages.
  • Support anti-virus software, including setup and configuration troubleshooting.
  • Facilitate coordination among Theater CND teams, other Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERT), and various command centers.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field, along with 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 2 years of experience; or a relevant certification with 10 years of experience, including 2 years with an accredited Computer Network Defense Service Provider or equivalent.
  • Licenses/Certification: DOD M CND Analyst or CND Incident Responder (minimum Security+CE). Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) required within 4 months of employment.
  • Strong understanding of security concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.), well-known ports (DNS, SMTP, FTP, LDAP, etc.), processes, architectures, and tools (authentication and access control technologies, intrusion detection, network traffic analysis, incident handling, media/malware analysis, etc.).
  • Experience analyzing network traffic for suspicious activities using tools like Wireshark and the Carnegie-Mellon SiLK suite for flow data analysis.
  • Familiarity with incident/event correlation tools such as ArcSight.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or BASH.
  • Current knowledge of CYBERCOM CNDSP policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of Snort intrusion detection signatures.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship with an active TS clearance with SSBI Investigation (or TS/SCI) is mandatory.

Work Hours: 40 hours per week; flexible shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for over 50% of the time.
  • Regularly operate a computer and other office machinery.
  • Frequent communication with colleagues, management, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations and exchanging accurate information.
