About the Role

Socket is a leader in business telecommunications, providing value-driven, customer-centric solutions to business customers. As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for developing new sales opportunities and building relationships with potential clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new sales opportunities through various prospecting methods, including networking and relationship-building.
  • Track sales activities, opportunities, and sales in our CRM program.
  • Determine customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions, focusing on fiber solutions such as Broadband/Dedicated Internet, SIP Voice Services, and Cloud-Based Phone Systems.
  • Use tools to create contracts, quotes, and sample invoices in a timely fashion.
  • Participate in weekly sales calls, sales meetings, and sales training sessions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for accounts after the initial sale to ensure continued customer satisfaction and growth of the account base.
  • Regularly follow up with clients to add solutions, update information, and resolve any issues.
  • Participate in customer-facing events such as Lunch & Learns, trade shows, and expo booths as required.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of prior B2B sales experience.
  • Strong prospecting and communications skills.
  • Outgoing personality with expertise in developing relationships.
  • Possess excellent sales skills, a positive/professional attitude, and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Associate's Degree and/or equivalent work experience in the Telecom/Internet/Data field.
  • Ability to multi-task, be self-motivated, and work in a sales team environment.
  • Highly disciplined, independent, and organized.
  • Prior experience in telecom/data sales is a plus.
