Kings Dominion is seeking highly energetic and creative individuals to join our team of scare actors for the Halloween Haunt event. As a scare actor, you will be responsible for bringing our guests' favorite nightmares to life in a safe and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize creativity and performance techniques to startle and scare guests in a controlled environment.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to achieve the overall atmosphere and goals set by the Entertainment leadership and show directors.
  • Consistently perform your role as scripted or conceived.
  • Remain in character while interacting with guests and maintain a professional and artistic demeanor.
  • Strong vocalization is required, including grunts, groans, growls, screams, and other monster noises.
  • Work alongside other scare actors, talent coaches, and supervisors to create an immersive environment for guests.
  • Perform physical and vocal warm-ups to prevent injury.
  • Wear assigned costume, make-up, or mask for event runs.
  • Maintain gear provided by the park for the duration of the event.

Requirements:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work in strobe lighting, artificial fog, confined, and dark spaces.
  • Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Comfortable working in loud and high-energy environments.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and stand for extended periods.
