About the Role:

We are seeking highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Halloween Haunt Ushers at Kings Dominion. As a key member of our live entertainment team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences and ensuring the smooth operation of our Halloween Haunt events.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet and greet park guests, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Engage with guests through verbal interactions, answering questions and providing directions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a high level of appearance and adhere to Kings Dominion's dress code and grooming standards.
  • Count guests as they enter and record show/maze attendance, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Deliver a compelling verbal spiel about the maze, highlighting its unique features and attractions.
  • Hole punch Fright Lane badges and ensure guests follow the rules and policies of the maze.
  • Maintain dispatch intervals of guest flow, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Prepare the area prior to maze opening by setting up que poles and ensuring the environment is safe and welcoming.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the performance/maze area, ensuring a high level of presentation and attention to detail.
  • Adhere to and enforce all Kings Dominion and park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance, and EEO policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Must have open availability Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
