Key Holder Role Summary

A Dcor Key Holder at Terrain contributes to creating a customer-centric environment by supporting the store leadership team in service, selling, and daily processes. They are an expert in the operating procedures and contribute mentorship of the associate team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Experience
    • Collaborate with the leadership team in cultivating Terrain's four promises: to welcome, to inspire, to inform, and to appreciate our customer.
    • Share Dcor product knowledge, new arrivals, and current decorating trends to inform the customer and inspire their indoor and outdoor spaces.
    • Utilize technology to deliver a seamless, omni-channel shopping experience through execution of all omni services.
  • Leadership + Team Management
    • Actively participate in managing the store environment and customer experience by facilitating an energized pace, positivity of the team, and management of daily zones.
    • Act as an elevated team member, exercise decision-making skills to support problem-solving and enhance each customer's experience.
    • Support new hire onboarding and continued education of the team through cross-training of multiple departments.
  • Visual + Business Operations
    • Support daily operating processes such as opening and closing procedures, maintaining store standards, restocking product, and helping with facilities or IT issues.
    • Collaborate with key partners to effectively execute shipment and omni-fulfillment processes; support visual standards, product stock levels, and markdowns.
    • Assist store leadership in maintaining standards and cleanliness by supporting daily tasks; stay current on monthly visual messaging and concept updates within the store.
    • Adhere to store safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and uphold all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store.
  • Communication + Relationships
    • Contribute to an inclusive and people-first philosophy; engage with employees at all levels to encourage open dialogue, reinforce follow-through, and ensure that the store team is heard and supported.
    • Check in with leadership to maintain communication and teamwork on completing store objectives; be open and responsive to feedback.
    • Provide insights related to the customer and employee experience and communicate feedback to Store Manager.

Key Qualifications:

  • Terrain brand fan
  • 1+ years leadership experience
  • Knowledge of home decor trends and gardening
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the organization
