Main Responsibilities- Develop and Execute IT Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy and roadmap that aligns with the University of Massachusetts Medical School's mission and strategic goals.
- Lead IT Planning and Implementation: Provide leadership in the planning and implementation of enterprise information systems to support research, teaching, and administrative operations.
- Build and Nurture Relationships: Build and nurture a strong relationship within and outside the organization through effective leadership, proactive collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Model Diversity and Inclusion: Model a consistent commitment to the University of Massachusetts Medical School's principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Lead Data Management and Analytics: Lead the development and adoption of strategies for data management, analytics tools, and technology services.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business needs and translate them into technology solutions.
- Ensure Technology Reliability and Security: Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the company's technology systems and infrastructure.
- Manage IT Services: Manage the implementation of IT services for new facilities.
- Develop and Retain Talent: Develop and retain competitive, high-performing technology talent.
- Drive Digital Innovation: Drive digital innovation and transformation initiatives.
- Optimize Resources: Optimize the use of operating and capital resources.
- Develop Sustainable Budget Models: Develop sustainable budget models for IT initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Ten-plus years of progressive management experience in IT within large, complex organizations.
- Strategic Planning: Proven track record of strategic planning and leading IT initiatives.
- IT Infrastructure: Experience managing complex IT infrastructure and systems.
- Process Improvement: Significant experience implementing new structures, systems, and processes.
