About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Ridgecrest Health and Rehabilitation Center. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and assistance to residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with ambulation and transfer of residents, utilizing proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
  • Record vital signs, weights, and measurements, as well as food consumption and intake/output.
  • Participate in collecting data for the accurate completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and plan of care.
  • Provide input to nurses for development of the plan of care.
  • Assist with maintaining established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
  • Be alert for proper ventilation, temperature, light, and noise control.
  • Take temperature, pulse, and rate, blood pressure, and weighing of residents, as directed.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
Requirements
  • Current Nursing Assistant certification from the state.
  • Current/active CPR certification, preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate, and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity.
  • Ability to lift fifty (50) or more pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job.
  • Able to stand and/or walk for more than four (4) hours per day.
  • Able to bend and/or stoop for more than one (1) hour at a time.
