We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care Network team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide appropriate care to patients, following AdventHealth service standards.
- Assist providers during treatment and examination, and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider.
- Perform office duties, including verifying insurance, collecting copays, and scheduling necessary appointments.
- Actively participate in outstanding customer service and maintain relationships that are equally respectful to all.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Must have a current, valid BLS.
- Must have either 1 year of minimum Medical Assistant work experience, or have completed an accredited MA school program with completion of an externship.
- Must be currently certified and maintain certification by one of the following: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Health Career Association (NHA).
