Data Scientist for Educational Technology

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Idaho Digital Learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science and analytics, with a keen interest in applying these skills to improve educational outcomes and user engagement.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets related to student interactions, performance, and engagement within our online learning platform.
- Develop and implement predictive models and algorithms to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improving the student user experience.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and inform decision-making.
- Utilize advanced statistical techniques and machine learning to gain insights into student behavior and outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in data science and analytics, with a strong portfolio demonstrating relevant projects.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
- Competitive salary: $70,000 - $77,000, dependent on education and experience.
- Includes health insurance, PERSI benefits, and paid leave.
- Necessary computer equipment, software, and applications.
Remote work in an online environment. Employee is responsible for obtaining high-speed internet to allow them to communicate effectively.
Participation in bi-annual in-person IDLA events is required. Occasional meetings at the IDLA Office in Boise may also be required.
