About the Role

We are seeking a talented Surface Scientist to join our team of innovators. As a Surface Scientist, you will demonstrate innovative surface analysis techniques to support technology development and high-volume manufacturing activities worldwide. You will partner with development teams from around the world to understand the materials and processes required to build our industry-leading technologies.

Key Responsibilities

* Demonstrate proficient knowledge of analytical strategies and techniques to contribute to group objectives.

* Collaborate - Solicit teamwork of group and take ownership of timely and accurate follow through of group workload and data integrity.
* Deliver Continuous Improvement - Maintain a demeanor of constant learning and a desire to increase your technical skills to improve your ability to contribute to individual and team goal achievement.
* Communicate - Work to ensure that information is effectively communicated between coworkers and with management to maintain the most effective laboratory operations.
* Promote a safety-first culture - Identify and promptly report workplace safety issues. Maintain all safety certifications and complete safety goals in a timely and complete manner.

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or an Engineering subject area.
* Demonstrated passion for scientific inquiry and tenacity.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Shift flexibility depending upon business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

* Graduate degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or an Engineering field.
* Hands-on experience with Surface Analysis techniques - including (but not limited to) X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray Reflectivity (XRR), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Auger Electron Spectroscopy AES), Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS), Electrical Characterization, Physical/Mechanical Characterization, Thermal Analysis, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS), and Electron Backscatter Diffraction Spectroscopy (EBSD).
* Demonstrated proficiency with Data Science, Statistics, and Project Management.
