As a Senior Sous Chef at The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center, you will be responsible for leading the daily kitchen operations and ensuring a consistent, high-quality product is produced. You will supervise all kitchen areas, guide and develop staff, and maintain sanitation and food standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the culinary team to achieve exceptional guest satisfaction and maintain operating budget.
- Supervise and manage employees, ensuring they understand expectations and parameters.
- Develop and implement culinary standards and procedures, ensuring compliance with Food & Beverage policies.
- Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
- Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
- Assist in determining how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
- Provide exceptional customer service, managing day-to-day operations and ensuring the quality, standards, and meeting the expectations of the customers on a daily basis.
- Empower employees to provide excellent customer service, setting a positive example for guest relations.
- High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.
- Or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area.
