Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled engineer to oversee the management of storage services across diverse environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting abilities and a proactive approach to resolving storage-related challenges. This role may involve on-call support and occasional overtime to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert troubleshooting and solution development for storage systems, collaborating with program teams to implement effective configurations.
  • Manage storage upgrades and configurations in both physical and virtual environments.
  • Maintain and update comprehensive Storage Design Documentation.
  • Support and oversee storage configurations for various storage devices, including SAN, NAS, and scale-out object storage.
  • Engage with vendors for hardware and software installation and troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Collaborate with System Administrators and engineering teams to implement storage configurations effectively.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active and transferable DOD-TS or TS/SCI U.S. government-issued security clearance is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, along with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Proven experience in configuring storage systems in both physical and virtual environments.
  • Familiarity with enterprise backup solutions, particularly Cohesity.
  • Experience in data center systems design for both on-premise and virtualized infrastructures.
  • Proficiency in Linux System Administration.
  • Strong scripting skills in languages such as PowerShell, Python, or bash.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with containerized storage solutions, including PVC/OCP/Kubernetes.
  • Expertise in automation design and implementation using Unix/Linux command-line scripts.
  • Knowledge of fiber channel configurations and associated hardware.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Visio, for documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to create clear visual representations of storage system configurations.
  • Experience in coordinating deliveries to various sites.
  • Current Security+ certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.
