Extended Day Site Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Extended Day Site Supervisor to join our team at Plymouth-Canton Community Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing a program that provides physical activities, self-expression through arts and crafts, and socialization with peers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a program that meets the needs of school-age children
- Work collaboratively with the site team, Program Coordinator, building principal, and building staff to share space and resources
- Maintain program equipment and supplies, and ensure an up-to-date inventory list
- Develop effective communication with parents of children enrolled in the program
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and child-oriented environment, and meet Environmental Health guidelines
- Assist the Program Coordinator in ensuring the site meets DHS licensing regulations
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including lesson plans, attendance records, and contact logs
- Work on all half days that care is provided, and perform other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator
- High school graduate
- Minimum of 60 hours of college coursework, including 12 hours in child development
- Previous experience working with school-age children
- Demonstrate aptitude and/or competence working with school-age children
The physical demands of this job include standing, talking, and hearing, with occasional walking, sitting, bending, and twisting. The employee may occasionally push or lift up to 50 pounds. The employee is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of other people.
