Job Title: Construction Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at LHH Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our pre-construction team, you will be responsible for managing the entire pre-construction process, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain project safety standards at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Complete all necessary project paperwork, permits, and licenses, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the pre-construction team to understand project requirements and budgets, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Assist in developing the overall project schedule, ensuring timely completion and minimizing delays.
  • Purchase subcontractor and supplier packages in line with the project budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value for money.
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders during construction, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Coordinate work between project subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in weekly project planning and look-ahead meetings, providing updates and insights to stakeholders.
  • Frequently visit project sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
  • Regularly review estimated budgets versus actual costs, ensuring project profitability and minimizing financial risks.
  • Provide updates on project safety, budget, and schedule, ensuring stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Effectively close out projects, ensuring a smooth transition and minimizing post-project issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • In-depth understanding of construction methods and project management, with a strong focus on safety and risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, design, and execution, with experience in commercial pre-construction projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and team members.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety standards and requirements, with a strong focus on compliance and risk management.
  • Familiarity with percent complete construction billing, with experience in managing project finances and budgets.
  • Problem-solving skills and a leadership mindset, with the ability to make informed decisions and drive project success.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the civil construction industry, including commercial, residential subdivisions, and public works projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, with a strong focus on construction management and project planning.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, and MS Excel, with experience in project management software and tools.
  • OSHA 10 safety training or willingness to obtain, with a strong focus on safety and risk management.
  • Clean MVR and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen/physical/background check.
