About the Job

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Transfer Coordinator to join our team at Cook Children's Medical Center. As a key member of our transportation logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring patient transfers by ground ambulance, helicopter, and fixed-wing aircraft. Your primary focus will be on ensuring safe and efficient transportation of patients while maintaining accurate documentation of all related information.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating patient transfers with medical staff and transport teams
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient transports and related information
  • Developing and implementing effective transportation logistics plans

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • State-certified EMT, EMT-P, or EMD certification with 1-2 years EMS and/or dispatch experience
  • Typing skills of 40-50 wpm (preferred)
