Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Panera Bread. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring high-quality products, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Lead and mentor a team of production associates to achieve production goals and maintain a positive work environment.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve processes.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure associates have the necessary skills to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards by implementing and maintaining quality control processes.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
    • Develop and maintain a culture of safety within the production team.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
    • Develop and maintain visual management systems to track key performance indicators and monitor progress.
    • Collaborate with the operations team to develop and implement lean manufacturing principles.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Manage production schedules, labor resources, and inventory levels to ensure efficient production processes.
    • Develop and maintain production metrics to track key performance indicators.
    • Provide regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., operations management, business administration) or equivalent experience.
    • At least 2 years of experience in a production or operations role, preferably in the food industry.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and visual management systems.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
