Job Title: Director of Research Operations

Hematology Oncology Associates of Central New York (HOACNY) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Research Operations to join our professional team.

About the Role

The Director of Research Operations will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the implementation of clinical studies, ensuring compliance with federally funded research requirements, and facilitating the solicitation of pharmaceutical trials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of clinical studies
  • Ensure compliance with federally funded research requirements
  • Facilitate the solicitation of pharmaceutical trials
  • Supervise research staff and direct and coordinate activities of the research department
  • Monitor and update policies, and participate in leadership meetings
  • Ensure that research undertaken is conducted within ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, IRB policies, and all state and federal regulations
Requirements
  • Masters level degree in the medical or health-related field
  • Training or experience in clinical research, GCP requirements, and medical documentation requirements
  • Training or experience in the roles and responsibilities of study coordinators and research staff
  • Training or experience creating and maintaining regulatory documents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and advanced computer skills/high comfort level with technology/electronic medical records
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in teams, and ability to work autonomously
