About the Role

CBIZ is seeking a highly skilled Audit Associate to join our team. As an Audit Associate, you will play a key role in delivering top-level financial and employee business services to organizations of all sizes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gain an understanding and assist in planning multiple audit assignments in various industries, including Real Estate, Construction, Nonprofit, and Manufacturing.
  • Execute a solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles, quality control standards, and technology implementation procedures relative to individual client assignments.
  • Participate in client assignments from beginning to end, identifying and communicating audit issues, technical matters, and improvement opportunities with senior associates, managers, and partners.
  • Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all levels of client staff to increase customer satisfaction and strengthen client relationships.
  • Pledge to provide exceptional service to every client by providing individual attention, responsiveness, and commitment to understanding their goals and needs.
  • Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, client confidentiality, and personal conduct.
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior associates and interns on MHM audit methodology.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
  • Strong computer and technical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, intranet, and audit software.
  • Ability to travel based on client and business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
  • CPA eligible; desire to obtain certification is required.
  • Internship experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, research, and tax project management skills, including basic knowledge of GAAP, Taxation compliance, codes, and regulations.
Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary target for this role is $67,000-$80,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
