Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician

Join Renton School District as a Registered Behavior Technician and contribute to the education and development of students with diverse needs.

Job Summary:

This position involves working with students who require behavioral support and interventions. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized behavior plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement behavioral interventions and support strategies to promote student learning and behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to develop and implement individualized behavior plans.
  • Provide direct support to students with behavioral needs, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Document student progress and behavior data to inform instruction and interventions.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in behavioral support and intervention.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, education, special education).
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and other behavioral challenges.
  • Knowledge of behavioral support and intervention strategies, including positive behavioral supports (PBS) and crisis intervention techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
