The Lead Store Associate plays a crucial role in driving sales and results in our stores. As a key member of the store team, you will assist store management in all activities and demonstrate behaviors that align with our company values of Accountability, Collaboration, Humility, and Passion.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
• Deliver exceptional customer experiences by modeling our company's values and behaviors, redirecting associate behaviors to achieve store goals, and responding to customer requests and feedback with a high sense of urgency.
• Maintain a positive in-store experience by ensuring customers have a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience, completing daily open/close tasks, and maintaining store standards.
• Foster a culture of promoting our loyalty program among associates and customers, ensuring all associates provide the benefits of the program to every customer.
• Meet metric-based goals by reviewing, understanding, and clearly communicating daily/weekly/monthly goals, and able to clearly communicate business trends to Store Managers.
• Review daily communication, plan and assign tasks throughout the day, and follow through with required actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or other leader.
• Perform all other associate duties within the store.
Inventory Management
• Increase sales and success by maintaining a well-organized sales floor and stockroom, enabling the flow of merchandise to ensure an appealing experience for consumers.
• Assist in the planning and execution of all inventory management-related activities, including freight receipt, placement, markdown, and MOOS.
• Participate in omni activities in-store, including Charge/Send, BOPIS/BOSTS, and Delivery.
• Leverage inventory reports to maximize productivity and merchandise presentation on the sales floor.
• Ensure a safe environment for both customers and associates, checking equipment regularly, and maintaining supply inventory.
• Complete all information related to audits, donations, transfers, mismates, damages, etc.
Human Resources
• Work closely with the store leadership team to understand and follow policy and procedure.
• Support the team by training, coaching, and providing feedback to associates, and communicating associate relations issues to the Store Manager.
• Provide feedback to the Store Manager on associate performance and recognize associates through our company recognition tools.
• Support the team in managing payroll and associate timekeeping activities.
Requirements
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Professionalism.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of retail experience.
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
