The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled licensed engineer or registered architect to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing engineering projects, overseeing design development, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage internal kick-off, milestone, and closeout meetings for projects.
  • Verify schedules and ensure adherence to project plans and timelines.
  • Conduct on-site inspections, documenting existing conditions, performing field testing, photographing, and creating hand-sketches.
  • Record accurate field measurements and perform calculations throughout the project duration.
  • Prepare written correspondence with clients and contractors, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Understand investigation reports and bid documents, including drawings and technical specifications, to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation.
  • Communicate project status and proactively address any issues or discrepancies that arise.
  • Maintain organized records, files, drawings, and other essential project data ensuring that they are appropriately filed within the company's systems for easy accessibility and future reference.
  • Collect post-project feedback to identify areas of improvement and communicate this feedback to their direct supervisor.
  • Keep up to date with job knowledge and industry trends through active participation in educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and engaging in professional societies and networks.
  • Engage in networking activities and represent the company at events, seminars, continuing education presentations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering or Architecture.
  • Five years or more experience in residential construction, framing, and deck design or relevant work experience.
  • Work with existing buildings and residential multi-family construction experience is required.
  • Professional Engineer or Registered Architect license required.
  • Maintain compliance with licensing requirements and applicable regulations.
  • OSHA - 10 Certification preferred.
  • Valid United States Driver's License required, as this position requires travel to and from client sites.
