Job Title: Network Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Technician to join our team at Apogee Corporation. As a Network Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting our enterprise wired and wireless network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network access control (NAC) solutions to regulate access to network resources
  • Support Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) to authenticate, authorize, and enforce access policies
  • Provide technical support for end-user devices, printers, VOIP systems, and fiber and copper infrastructure
  • Collaborate with the operations team to resolve end-user and network escalations
  • Monitor, investigate, and action equipment alarms
  • Adhere to a self-managed schedule for on-site appointments within a 24-48 hour SLA
  • Collaborate with Apogee teams to coordinate client activities
  • Track and update escalation tickets
  • Ensure that Apogee's policies and end-user agreements are upheld
Requirements:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Certifications such as CCT, CCST, CCNA, CWNA, Security +, CWT, ECSE
  • Experience with enterprise-grade networking equipment
  • Proficiency in diagnosing Ethernet connectivity issues
  • Familiarity with introductory concepts in enterprise networking
  • Associate's degree in a technical field with 2+ years' experience or Four-year degree in Technology field
  • 2-3 years of help desk or technical support experience
  • 2-3 years of customer support experience
Important Considerations:
  • Physical requirements: lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, reaching, and climbing
  • On-call environment: working weekends, holidays, or hours outside of normal business hours
  • Driving and criminal background: valid driver's license and passing a criminal background check
  • Air Operations Area (AOA) badge: required for this role
  • Travel: occasional travel for training, projects, and other campuses
