In the role of Broadcast News Producer, your primary responsibilities will include developing daily newscast segments, organizing the order of stories, creating engaging teases and content, overseeing program schedules, editing video clips, and publishing videos on our digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing newscasts for distribution across various media channels.
  • Writing and structuring news articles.
  • Reviewing and approving scripts.
  • Balancing news and feature segments to create captivating broadcasts.
  • Editing video content.
  • Developing stories for our website and other digital media platforms.
  • Interacting with viewers and users on social media.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Journalism or a related discipline, or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in news production (varies by market size).
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with operating office equipment, including computers, telephones, and video editing tools.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
