The position of an Educational Operations Manager typically involves responsibilities that influence the entire educational institution. This role aims to foster collaboration among staff members and the broader school community to meet specific goals, particularly in areas such as school administration, financial management, and human resources.
While guidance on objectives and targets is provided, the role allows for a certain level of discretion in determining the methods to achieve these goals. However, this discretion is generally constrained by established procedures and institutional policies. Any deviations from these standard protocols will necessitate oversight and direction from higher management.
A primary duty of this role is the management of personnel to ensure the attainment of expected results. Issues related to staff management should be resolved with minimal involvement from senior management, although assistance will be required in more intricate situations. Senior management will receive timely updates and advice concerning financial matters, human resources, or administrative functions.
Responsibilities
Deliver Educational Services
Oversee the creation and distribution of school publications and documentation.Financial Management
Direct and oversee the formulation of annual budgets and regular financial reports, contributing to the school's financial decision-making processes. Prepare funding proposals for the leadership team and governing council. Supervise the accounting operations of the institution, ensuring all funds, including investments, are accurately managed in accordance with financial regulations. Advise staff on budgetary expenditures related to departments, programs, and various school initiatives. Manage government grants and other sources of school revenue. Organize fundraising initiatives.General Administration
Ensure comprehensive administrative support for the Principal and teaching staff. Provide necessary administrative assistance to external service providers as needed. Oversee the processing of student admissions, registrations, enrollments, and transfers. Deliver the required level of administrative support for school events, functions, and projects. Implement orientation programs for new staff, volunteers, and other personnel.Human Resources Management
Research, plan, and develop training programs for support staff. Manage recruitment processes. Provide expert advice to the leadership team regarding support structures and workplace practices. Assist in formulating work practices that maintain appropriate occupational health and safety standards. Oversee procedures related to employee relations issues. Aid in the development of human resource strategies.Resource Management
Coordinate the utilization and upkeep of school facilities and equipment. Liaise and negotiate with service providers regarding service costs and quality. Supervise the delivery of contracted services. Manage the development and collection of educational resources within the institution.Support for Governing Council
Prepare reports and make recommendations on operational matters. Assess and report on the operational efficiency of computer systems, suggesting improvements where necessary. Develop methodologies and procedures that will influence work practices beyond the immediate workplace. Manage a technical program with a broad scope across the institution.Who May Apply
