Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialized instruction to students with unique needs and learning challenges within a dedicated educational framework, while providing one-on-one and small group tutoring to reinforce essential language and literacy skills.
  • Administer and evaluate both individual and group assessments.
  • Organize and facilitate Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, coordinating with parents, general education teachers, administrators, and relevant special education personnel.
  • Collaborate with specialists, including speech therapists and psychologists, to communicate and manage evaluations and testing for students with special needs, while keeping parents informed about their child's progress.
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress and document advancements towards IEP objectives.
  • Support various academic initiatives within the independent study framework.
  • Perform additional tasks that contribute to the success of the Special Education Specialist program.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field.
  • California Preliminary or Clear Education Specialist Instruction Credential (Mild/Moderate) with English Language Authorization (ELA).

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $81,000 - $115,000.
