Job Summary

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for the clinical management of high-risk neonates and infants, educational responsibilities, administrative duties, consulting, and initiating/implementing research in collaboration with medical, nursing, and support services to provide family-centered care to high-risk infants in a manner consistent with the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical management of high-risk neonates and infants, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for high-risk infants and their families.
  • Collaborate with medical, nursing, and support services to provide comprehensive care to high-risk infants.
  • Provide educational programs and resources to families and healthcare providers on neonatal care and management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research studies to improve neonatal care and outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and healthcare providers to promote family-centered care and improve access to care for high-risk infants.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience as an RN in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
  • Graduate of an approved nurse practitioner program.
  • Masters degree in nursing or educational preparation and clinical experience that is equivalent to a graduate degree.
  • Current CA RN license and CA Nurse Practitioner license.
  • AHA BLS, NRP certificate, and NCC-NNP (National Certification Corporation) card.
  • Current NP Furnishing Number.
  • Current DEA number or pending DEA# application.
