Job Summary

York County Community Action Corp. is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Liaison to join our team. As a Family Liaison, you will play a vital role in ensuring that quality, comprehensive services are provided for enrolled children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Family Support and Development: Support families to develop goals and access community services and resources utilizing a Family Development model.
  • Recruitment and Enrollment: Ensure that quality, comprehensive services are provided for enrolled children and families, and is directly involved in recruitment and enrollment program wide.
  • Technical Assistance and Compliance: Work in partnership with program staff to provide technical assistance to enhance their ability to develop and support family goals; and contributes to ensuring the agency's full compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards.
  • Health and Wellness: Works with families to meet all health requirements and refers for emergency assistance and referrals.
  • Community Networking: Networks within YCCAC programs, other agencies and community service providers to support comprehensive services for families.
Requirements
  • Education: The Family Liaison must have a minimum of a High School diploma or GED and is expected to complete the Online Family Partner Certificate Program within the first year of employment (paid by employer); Associate's Degree in Human Services or closely related field preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience working with families and/or individuals in a professional capacity required.
  • Availability: Must be available in the evenings for parent meetings, recruitment efforts, home visits, etc., as necessary to meet the needs of families and the program.
  • Travel and Transportation: Must be willing to travel and have reliable form of transportation.
  • Immunizations and Background Check: Immunized against MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis). Must be able to pass a background check, to include DHHS and fingerprinting.
