Quality Assurance Inspector

As a pivotal player in the energy transition, you will contribute to the mission of reducing climate change impacts through quality assurance.
Role Responsibilities:
- Execute and document inspections of in-process and final components.
- Analyze mechanical schematics and specifications to accurately measure dimensions including hole placements, diameters, widths, lengths, and thicknesses.
- Facilitate the management of nonconforming materials by implementing containment strategies and corrective actions.
- Assess painted components using measurement tools (such as spectrophotometers, wave-scans, thickness gauges, and gloss meters) to ensure adherence to surface quality standards.
- Provide training to production inspectors on effective inspection methodologies.
Technical Skills Required:
- Proficient in using an ERP system.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Competent in utilizing measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, angle finders, and tape measures.
Personal Attributes:
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and collaborate with team members.
- Self-driven with the capability to operate with minimal supervision.
- Proactive in identifying needs and formulating solutions.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED is essential.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in blueprint interpretation is advantageous.
Work Environment:
- This role involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical components and may require working at heights or in environments with fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is typically moderate.
Physical Requirements:
- The position necessitates the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Vision capabilities must include close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regular standing, walking, and use of hands are required, with occasional sitting.
