Overview:
Freightliner Northwest is seeking a dedicated Building Operations Specialist. This role encompasses landscaping and overall facility upkeep, including cleaning and material handling. Responsibilities also include performing repairs on various building components. Freightliner Northwest

Responsibilities:

KEY FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
Execute tasks in accordance with established procedures and the operational schedule of the facility.

Maintain the exterior of the premises in a clean and organized manner.

Perform duties such as sweeping pathways, emptying waste receptacles, and clearing debris.

Engage in seasonal activities, including snow removal and pathway maintenance.

Conduct thorough cleaning of all interior spaces, including hallways, restrooms, offices, and windows.

Manage waste disposal and replenish supplies in restrooms and break areas.

Ensure that pallets and cardboard are properly disposed of and that receptacles are maintained.

Carry out seasonal responsibilities such as applying ice melt and snow removal.

Perform touch-up and finish painting as required.

Transport supplies and materials necessary for building maintenance.

Execute minor repairs in carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing tasks.

Set up and dismantle furniture and equipment for meetings and events.

Maintain daily cleanliness logs.

Utilize hand and power tools for minor maintenance tasks.

Operate forklifts as necessary.

Exercise sound judgment to uphold a safe and organized work environment; comply with safety protocols.

Take initiative in addressing new and diverse requests.

Demonstrate punctuality on scheduled workdays.

Other general duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Job Requirements, Education and Experience

Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred; relevant landscaping experience is a plus.

Other:
A valid driver's license is required, and candidates must be insurable.

Skills:
Must be organized, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently, and maintain good attendance. Professionalism and a safety-oriented mindset are essential. Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with active listening abilities, are required. The ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or collaboratively is necessary.

JOB CONDITIONS:

Physical:
(The physical demands described here are representative of what is required for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.) Safely walk, reach, bend, climb, lift, push, twist, and kneel as needed to fulfill job duties. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Environmental:
Primarily outdoor work with some indoor responsibilities. The environment may be noisy. Personal protective equipment, including ear and eye protection, will be provided.

Hours:
Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends is required.

Freightliner Northwest offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage for eligible employees, as well as basic life insurance and an employee assistance program. Eligible employees can participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) and contribute up to 60% of their pre-tax earnings to a 401k plan, with the company matching contributions up to 3% of income for qualifying employees.
