Job Overview

Qualis Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center at Kirtland AFB, NM. As a key member of our team, you will evaluate and certify defense systems in support of US national security policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and provide recommendations on complicated weapon systems
  • Develop systems and electrical engineering skills while gaining experience in defense programs
  • Merge practical engineering experience and new technologies to create systems capable of supporting national security

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with software design, development, or evaluation
  • Nuclear Certification experience across multiple platforms
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering experience with Cameo
  • Experience with DoD Systems
  • Experience with PCB design, schematic design, and PCB design software
  • Knowledge of system architecture and design methodologies
  • Ability to evaluate systems against technical requirements and identify concerns and issues
  • Secret clearance
  • BS degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Air Force 2W2 experience
  • Software Development experience
  • Experience with AMAC systems
  • Experience with logic devices and embedded systems or programming software
  • Ability to communicate advanced concepts in software engineering clearly and translate to non-technical individuals
  • BS degree in EE or a related field preferred; MS degree in EE or a related field a plus

Clearance:

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
