Key Responsibilities:

Position Summary:
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the research, development, and maintenance of real-time embedded software systems. This includes configuring Linux OS/Kernel for various hardware platforms and validating hardware through software solutions. You will engage in high-level architecture development using C/C++, create hardware device drivers, and develop networked client-server applications, along with implementing network security protocols.

Main Duties:


- Analyze functional specifications and interpret complex system designs to provide systems engineering support for large-scale systems.
- Develop functional block diagrams and data flow charts, as well as strategic implementation plans for comprehensive information systems.
- Code, integrate, test, debug, and refine software to meet product requirements.
- Design sophisticated software tools and subsystems to enhance software development and testing processes.
- Optimize software to improve efficiency and reduce operational time.
- Create system architecture and design, encompassing software, hardware, communication, and interface requirements.
- Review and evaluate design interfaces, and prepare comprehensive documentation including specifications and test plans.
- Conduct analyses to define and allocate requirements, ensuring all system functionalities and performance criteria are met.
- Provide systems engineering support for major system elements and interfacing systems.
- Lead and guide the work of other engineers on projects.

Qualifications:

What We Seek:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience; advanced degrees are preferred.
- Over 15 years of experience in embedded software development, with at least 3 years focused on Linux application development.
- Experience in inflight entertainment system development is advantageous.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient in C/C++ programming within a Linux environment, including TCP/IP networking and device driver development.
- Familiarity with network security methodologies is a plus.
- Experience in multimedia application development, particularly in streaming audio/video, is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to achieve successful outcomes on complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.

Travel Requirements:
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally as needed, up to 10% of the time.
