Core Duties:
The individual in this role will oversee all financial accounting operations of the organization, which encompasses daily management of the accounting division: cash flow oversight, accrual management, allocations, accounts payable, asset management, taxation, financial reporting, balance sheet analysis, expense tracking, payroll administration, procurement, and general ledger oversight. This position will also entail responsibilities for financial reporting, including the monthly and quarterly closing processes, SEC compliance, revenue recognition, adherence to corporate accounting policies, technical GAAP research, and external audit supervision along with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related business discipline.
- Experience with a Big 4 public accounting firm is essential.
- CPA certification is mandatory, with over 10 years of accounting experience, particularly with publicly-traded entities.
- Experience in the REIT/Real Estate sector is highly desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of revenue recognition principles.
- Extensive understanding of accounting practices, GAAP standards, and SEC reporting obligations.
- Strong technical accounting capabilities with proven experience in revenue recognition, along with a solid grasp of Sarbanes-Oxley/internal control frameworks.
