Patient Care Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Manager to join our team at New Century Hospice. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hospice sites, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.
Key Responsibilities- Site Management: Manage the site in the absence of the Executive Director, Administrator, or Senior Patient Care Manager, ensuring seamless operations and patient care.
- Clinical Oversight: Oversee clinical and administrative functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and managed care principles.
- Patient Care: Provide direct skilled bedside nursing care in patients' homes, responding to phone referrals and inquiries in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Leadership: Participate in on-call nursing schedules, lead by example, and demonstrate a commitment to patient advocacy, humility, and servant leadership.
- Education: Registered Nurse with a minimum of Associate's Degree in Nursing required from an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: Three years' experience in direct patient care in a clinical setting, with a minimum of one year of management/supervisory experience.
- Licenses and Certifications: Current license to practice nursing in the state of employment, CPR Certification, and valid driver's license.
- Sensitivity and Empathy: Demonstrate sensitivity to the feelings of the terminally ill and their families, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with people of all socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Leadership and Influence: Influence people in their opinions, attitudes, or judgments about ideas or things, with a strong ability to make generalizations, evaluations, or decisions based on sensory or judgmental criteria.
