We are looking for a dedicated psychologist with expertise in child abuse to join our team at the Saint Peter's Healthcare System.

Position Overview
The psychologist's role is structured into two primary levels of service. The first level emphasizes the delivery of supervised psychological services to clients at the Central New Jersey Regional Child Protection Center. Responsibilities include conducting assessments for parents, children who have experienced abuse, and offenders; providing direct interventions such as short-term therapy, group therapy, and crisis management; offering consultations to the Department of Pediatrics while collaborating with nursing staff, physicians, and social workers; participating in team meetings, grand rounds, and educational training for residents and nursing students; delivering presentations at professional conferences; and engaging in program development committees.

The second level of service addresses the wider community needs, providing consultation to healthcare professionals and social service personnel across all medical facilities within our service area.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in clinical, developmental, school, or pediatric psychology.
  • New Jersey licensure or eligibility for licensure required (supervision by a licensed psychologist will be provided).
  • A minimum of two years of experience in assessment, child abuse (both physical and sexual), treatment of parents and children, and professional consultation.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.
