**Job Overview:**

North Suffolk Community Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated Support Services Specialist to join our team. As a residential support counselor, you will provide direct care to individuals living in a residential setting.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. You will work closely with residents to help them develop skills, achieve symptom stabilization, and become more involved in their community.

**Estimated Salary:** $42,000 per year (based on 40 hours/week and $20/hour)

**Job Responsibilities:**

  • Provide direct care to residents in a residential setting
  • Assist residents with daily living skills, transportation, and skill-building
  • Help residents identify personal priorities, preferences, strengths, and interests
  • Arrange and transport residents to appointments or outings
  • Complete administrative tasks such as answering phones and filling out paperwork

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorder
  • Valid driver's license and MAP certification within five months of hire
