About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Community Outreach Specialist to join our team at North Suffolk Community Services Inc. in Boston, Massachusetts.

The estimated salary for this role is around $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and guidance.
  • Act as a liaison between service providers, community members, and clients, ensuring comprehensive initial assessments and crisis planning.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments with each client, identifying areas of need and developing effective intervention strategies.
  • Assist individuals in accessing medical appointments, outpatient mental health treatment, and other essential services.
  • Support clients with official correspondence related to insurance eligibility, social security, and other entitlement programs.
  • Help clients identify and access relevant resources to facilitate their recovery and well-being.
Requirements
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a related field (behavioral health) or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Experience: Previous outreach experience with populations affected by mental illness and substance abuse is strongly preferred.
  • Skills: Valid Mass driver's license, reliable transportation, and bilingual ability (English/Spanish) are highly desirable.
