Job Opportunity: Energy Market Policy Advisor

RER Solutions, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Energy Market Policy Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting The Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) in delivering clean energy demonstration projects at scale.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with project developers and the policy community to provide expert insights on policy implications, including incentives and regulation, for OCED's portfolio.
  • Support conducting market research and analysis to inform key policy decisions and catalyze clean energy deployment.
  • Track, review, analyze, and report on legislation and policy matters that impact DOE's portfolio.
  • Develop expertise in clean energy project finance to inform briefings on policy implications and program design.
  • Support strategic and quick-turn analyses to consider the potential impacts of specific policy dimensions on clean energy technology project commercialization momentum.
  • Develop briefing materials for senior leadership that contextualize key analysis takeaways and decision factors.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of US Citizenship required to obtain client-issued Public Trust.
  • 2+ years of experience in a policy role (e.g., Congressional office, think tank, research).
  • Experience in Energy or natural resources desired.
  • Excellent ability to understand and synthesize information into key takeaways.
  • Strategic thinker with strong capacity to self-direct attention to high-priority dimensions of a multi-faceted problem.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and understanding of fundamental business writing.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
