Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our Surgical Oncology team at Northwestern Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented group of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis and management of a wide range of health problems
  • Conduct comprehensive appraisals of patients' health status, including taking health histories and performing physical examinations
  • Prescribe and order medications, therapies, and laboratory tests as needed
  • Develop and implement educational systems for patients, families, and staff
  • Mentor graduate students in aspects of advanced practice and patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement and research initiatives
Requirements:
  • Master's degree from an accredited school of nursing or physician assistant program
  • Acute care certification required for APRNs
  • First Assist Certification for all APRNs
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois (for APRNs) or Physician Assistant in the State of Illinois
  • Privileged and credentialed through the Northwestern Medicine Medical Staff Office
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of APP experience
