Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients, utilizing observational skills to observe nursing intervention and assist medical staff to ensure optimal care within established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider, provide nursing care in accordance with the legal scope of practice and within established standards of care, policies, and procedures.
- Exhibit excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, providers, and coworkers, demonstrating courtesy, compassion, and respect.
- Transcribe physician/advanced practice provider orders and communicate directly with a Registered Nurse to institute changes in the plan of care.
- Administer specified medication appropriately and accurately following the provider's order and/or standing orders within the scope of practice.
- Perform related patient care functions, such as taking temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure readings, wound care, and instructing patients in various self-administered treatments or procedures.
- Assist physician/advanced practice providers or other medical staff personnel with examinations and treatments, selecting and passing instruments, providing support and restraint to the patient, draping, and other assistance as directed or required.
- Document care in Health Connect per policy, procedures, guidelines, and protocols.
- Minimum Twelve (12) months or greater LVN direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.
- Vocational Nurse License (California).
- Basic Life Support.
- IV Certification and Blood Withdrawal Certification preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) Level II required.
